Group Compliance & Sustainability Specialist ECCO Leather Group We are looking for a Group Compliance & Sustainability Specialist to support and coordinate sustainability, environmental compliance, LWG, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) activities across ECCO Leather Group. The position will work closely with local tannery teams and Group functions to monitor sustainability performance, support compliance programs, develop LCA approaches and tools, and drive continuous improvement across ECCO Leather Group operations. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and consolidate EHS, sustainability, and compliance performance across ECCO Leather Group and monitor progress against Group targets and KPIs. • Coordinate Leather Working Group (LWG) requirements, certification status, audit preparation, performance improvement, and sharing of best practices across tanneries. • Support implementation of Group sustainability and compliance programs, including environmental improvement projects, ESG information, customer requirements, and chemical compliance activities. • Prepare management dashboards, reports, and presentations, and coordinate actions and follow-up between Group functions and local units. • Initiate and coordinate carbon footprint assessment for finished leather, including developing suitable calculation methodologies and practical tools, coordinating data collection with local units, and transferring the calculation approach and tools to support consistent implementation across ECCO Leather Group. • Review and update relevant leather carbon footprint benchmarks to understand ECCO Leather's environmental performance compared with relevant industry benchmarks. • Support interpretation and communication of LCA results, including identification of environmental hotspots and improvement opportunities. • Maintain LCA data, assumptions, calculation files, methodologies, and supporting evidence to ensure consistency and traceability. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in sustainability, EHS, environmental compliance, LCA, or related functions within a manufacturing environment. • Knowledge or practical experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon footprint calculation, and environmental data analysis. • Knowledge of LWG, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ESG, sustainability reporting, and chemical compliance is an advantage. • General understanding of RSL/PRSL, MRSL, ZDHC, REACH, and product compliance is preferred. • Strong analytical skills and experience in data collection, validation, KPI monitoring, and management reporting. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, LCA software, or LCA databases is an advantage. • Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple sites, functions, cultures, and countries. • Good command of written and spoken English. • Experience in the leather, textile, footwear, or related manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
